On December 16, the CCP launched a satellite at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. Authorities had predicted that rocket debris may fall on a village in Zhaotong city, Yunnan province. The villagers heard the news and hid in a cave to avoid danger. Netizens revealed that giant rocket debris fell in a field near the village in Yunnan province.

As reported by Space China, at 2:17 p.m. on December 16, the Long March 11 booster rocket was launched at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, putting test satellite 21 into a predetermined orbit. 

A video posted by netizens shows that in Zhaotong, giant rocket debris fell into a field, only about 300 feet from villagers’ houses.

Earlier, many villagers in Zhaotong city, may have been informed that rocket debris would fall. They were afraid of being hit, so they ran into a cave to avoid danger.
