Hail suddenly hits Qinghai, nearly a thousand cars smashed
A sudden hailstorm fell in Xinyuan Township, Tianjun County on August 9 at about 6:10 p.m., causing heavy losses.
According to Sohu, locals said that the hailstorm lasted for ten minutes. Car glasses were smashed, people were injured, and sheep were injured and died after the hail.
Landslide of Changbai Mountain, tourists flee in panic
A landslide occurred in the scenic area of the northern slope of Changbai Mountain in Jilin Province on August 9.
A video shows the thrilling scene of the landslide. A large amount of gravel rolled down the hillside, raising billowing smoke and dust. Many tourists at the foot of the mountain rushed along the road to escape danger.
On August 10, the Changbai Mountain Management Committee Tourism Culture and Sports Bureau noticed a partial collapse of the mountain in the North Changbai Mountain Scenic Area waterfall. The reason was recent continuous rainfall, which did not harm tourists.
After the landslide, the staff of the scenic spot evacuated nearby tourists, and the area was temporarily closed.
Tropical storm Mulan made landfall on the coast of Xuwen, Zhanjiang, local air and rail traffic suspended
According to the Guangdong Meteorological Station, tropical storm Mulan landed at 10:50 a.m. on August 10 in the Xuwen, Zhanjiang coastal area.
According to SingTao, storm “Mulan” is expected to move west-northwestward at a speed of about 20 kilometers per hour and enter the sea surface of Beibu Gulf on the afternoon of the 10th, gradually weakening in intensity. The meteorological department predicted wind and rain in Guangdong on August 10 and August 11.
Currently, some of the high-speed rail lines in Guangdong have been temporarily adjusted, and the relevant ports have suspended customs clearance. All flights were canceled at 8:00 a.m on August 10 at Zhanjiang Wuchuan airport. The train service was temporarily suspended at Zhanjiang West Station, Maoming Station.
